As a community leader, I know you think deeply about the right kind of adult education classes to offer older adults in the community.
Post-Covid, adult education courses need to appeal to both the intellectual and emotional lives of students. Programs that facilitate meaningful ties between congregants are in even higher demand.
To that end, I am delighted to offer your community a three-part series entitled: Becoming a Soulful Grandparent: A path to your inner wisdom, purpose, and legacy.
The three-part series will address older adult learners’ questions including
- What role do I want to play as a grandparent?
- What is my legacy? What am I leaving to the next generation?
- How can I be both supportive as a parent and grandparent while still honoring my adult children’s choices?
- Just because I am aging, how can I also embrace growing?
The course will include Jewish wisdom, personal reflection, and group sharing. There will also be plenty of time to share resources and just kibbitz.
Here’s what Jewish professionals and participants are saying
“Thanks so much for a stimulating and meaningful conversation. We should definitely make this an annual program!”
–Synagogue professional, New York
“Dasee put into words the more important role we have of helping our grandkids understand their place in the intergenerational narrative of our family, the larger Jewish family, and the world.”
– Participant, North Carolina
